Combat & party guide
Quartet preserves each entry’s battle identity. Manage timing, Ether, and support — do not spam only the strongest attack.
BLUE REFLECTION basics
The original game emphasizes turn order, Ether/MP management, Guard, Overdrive, and Fragments that reflect student bonds.
- Watch the timeline and protect key turns
- Invest in support and healing early
- Fragments and classmate bonds feed combat power
Second Light: gears & Ether Tide
Battles are faster and real-time. Ether Recovery Speed raises Gear; higher Gears enable stronger Fragments and more decisive turns.
- Push Ether Recovery to climb Gears sooner
- Build combos toward Ether Tide (around 15 combo)
- Use One-on-One finishers when they appear
- Supporters can item-swap or replace fallen fighters
SUN remake battles
SUN’s memorable fights are rebuilt on Second Light’s battle framework inside Quartet, so Second Light habits transfer well.
- Apply attribute weaknesses and knockdown windows
- Keep healing items stocked
- Reassess party roles when new squadmates join
Expanded Second Light roster
Quartet adds eight characters from RAY and SUN as Second Light party members, widening team-building options for the crossover finale.
- Experiment beyond the opening trio
- Assign a dedicated healer/support role
- Match Fragments to each character’s job in the party
